After spending a few years, and quite a few dollars, trying to find that "one" extracurricular activity that would become a passion, I discovered doll making. That was in 1990. I was hooked. Porcelain was my first medium. I sculpt in clay and make a plaster mold into which liquid porcelain slip is poured. After the necessary preparations are completed, the molds are fired in a kiln. My porcelain dolls are issued in small limited editions. In the last few years, I have been doing more one-of-a-kind dolls in polymer clays. My clay of choice is Cernit. I make everything for the dolls down to the smallest detail, except for the quality glass eyes, of course. I stopped playing with dolls at age 10, so this "found" passion was a big surprise even to me. Visit my gallery and take a gander at some of my earlier work. Click here.
